SPEEDOMETER 3 PHASE REV.4

Speedometer is commissioned to monitor the speed and corresponding energy parameters of the locomotive. For 3 Phase and Conventional Locomotives 2 Cabs are having one Speedometer each among which one is Master and the other is Slave Unit.

There are mainly two types i) for Non AC Coaches ii) for AC Coaches.

Viewing speed of the vehicle helps us in calculating the time required to reach destination. It may be required to increase the speed to make up for the unforeseen delay. Type of parameters display in both Recorder and Indicator Unit installed on different driver cabs.It Stores processed data in internal flash and external memory as well asstores system related faults and events. Data can be extracted through pen drive and stored in pc. There is exclusive software for analysis of stored data in front end to monitor the performance of LOCO as well as driver.

Supply voltage is 50 � 150 Vdc, Total power consumption 20W@ 110 Vdc, time Display is 24 hours format and Odometer Range is 7 digit (9999999 kms).

The construction is mechanically robust so as to assure permanence in all mechanical, electrical, electronic or magnetic adjustments when used in accordance with user's recommendations. The equipment being a safety item is designed for high degree of reliability.

  

 APPLICATION AREA:

Speedometer is an essential device and an integral part of all types of Railway Engines. The prospective customers of the product are Locomotive Manufacturers- i) CLW Chittaranjan, ii) CLW Dankuni, iii) Madhepura Loco Factor, iv) DLW Banaras.

SPEEDOMETER - EMU

For AC EMU & MEMUs and DC EMUs each motor-coach requires one Standalone Speedometer.

There are mainly two types i) for Non AC Coaches ii) for AC Coaches.

It is a universal fact that we should conserve electrical energy in all possible ways. The energy monitoring device helps us to maintain the time/ punctuality as well as to determine the energy consumed during the travel. It also measures some more (i.e., total distance covered, distance covered while dynamic braking, distance covered while coasting, coasting time, dynamic braking time etc.) parameters which play a major role to determine the quality of driving.

Additionally the energy related parameter as energy consumed during run, energy consumed during halt, total energy consumed, Motoring, Coasting & Braking Energy, OHE Voltage, OHE Current can also be checked.

Supply voltage is 60 � 135 Vdc, Total power consumption 15W@ 110 Vdc, time Display is 24 hours format and Odometer Range is 7 digit (9999999 kms).

  

 APPLICATION AREA:

The 25 kV AC EMUs are presently operating in the suburban sections of Kolkata, Chennai and New Delhi on Eastern, South-Eastern, Southern and Northern Rlys. Approx. 192 AC EMU rakes are run per day in these cities in passenger services. The 25 kV AC Main line EMUs (or MEMUs) are operating in the mainline sections of Eastern, South-Eastern, Southern, South-Central, Western, Northern and North Eastern Railways. Both EMU & MEMU services are being further extended to other areas also. Electrical energy of about 460 million kWh is presently consumed annually for these services.1500 V DC EMUs are operating in the suburban sections of Mumbai on Central & Western Railways. About 160 DC EMU rakes are being run per day. Electrical energy of approx. 500 million kWh is presently consumed annually for these services.

PASSENGER INFORMATION SYSTEM

With the advent of GPS and GSM/CDMA technologies, location information of any distant moving object is now available at fingertip and Using this technology, Indian Railways has come up with a new proposal to facilitate the onboard passengers with train location information, next halting station, late running information, warning and safety messages along with facility of audio announcement to onboard passengers during day time.

There are mainly two types i) for Non AC Coaches ii) for AC Coaches.

Visual & Audio announcement in English, Hindi & Regional Languages depend upon train location. Key board & IR remote are used to change train route & other application. Internal memory used for event storing & fault logging. USB port used to upload route information & download event and fault data from or to pen drive. Wakeup Alarm for destination station for AC-First Class passengers. GPRS & RF modules may be required for future purpose.

Supply voltage 77V DC to 143V AC/DC, total power consumption 20W@ 110 Vdc approximately, Isolation (approx.) 1kVrms/min for power, 500Vrms/min for Signal.

  

 APPLICATION AREA:

The prospective customers of the product Rail Coach Manufacturers- i) RCF Kapurthala, ii) MCF Railbarelly iii) ICF Chennai, iv) ICF Palkad, Metro Rail Kolkata and Zonal Railway Workshops and Maintenance Sheds.

Signal Generator

Synthesized Signal Generator 9 KHz to 2GHz

VTL offers synthesized signal generators with good resolution for testing in communication, R&D and defence industries. These signal generators offer low SSB phase noise, low wideband noise and low non-harmonics. They have excellent frequency stability and a variety of modulation options.

Frequency modulation, Amplitude modulation, Pulse modulation and Phase modulation are a standard feature of these signal generators. In addition, IQ modulation is also available as a standard feature in one of the model.

MODULATION METER

Modulation Meter(model 4561D) is a fully automatic instrument analyzing AM up to 100% and FM up to 100 KHz deviation with very low input level in the range of 1.5 MHz to 2 GHz.

There are mainly two types i) for Non AC Coaches ii) for AC Coaches.

This is a very easy to use, light weight instrument with wide ranging specification.

BROAD TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION:

In the frequency range of 1.5 MHz to 2 GHz, the depth of AM can be measured in two ranges of 10%, 100% and FM deviation is measured in two ranges of 10 KHz, 100 KHz full scale.

Instrument is provided with De-emphasis facility of50 �s, 75 �s and 650 �s.

The instrument is provided with normal filter of 3 KHz, 15 KHz, 50 KHz and Psophometric filter (CCITT).

APPLICATION AREA:

DISTRESS ALERT TRANSMITTER

The Distress Alert Transmitter was developed by SAC/ISRO for the use of fisherman going deep sea. A GPS receiver is part of a transmitter. In the event of emergency, the transmitter, when manually activated, sends a short message containing its position and the type of emergency. The unit was produced through industry and distributed to fisherman through Indian coast guard. A receive station has been put up in Regional coast Guard office, Chennai. Receive system contains the Web portal for accessing the transmitter position and emergency information on line through Internet.

PTHMS

Power Transformer Health Monitoring System

Technical Specification of Remote Monitoring System of Power Transformer

To monitor the health of power transformers, the key physical parameters like temperature, Humidity , pressure of the breathers,  conservator tank oil level  , temperature, tap changer motor current , and vibration during tap changing are monitored in real-time . These parameters can indirectly provide indications of the inherent causes. In case of any deviation from the normal , these parameters provide the alert signals.

IIoT

 

One IIoT gateway along with the sensor modules are installed  in the power transformer .

The IIoT gateway is capturing these data and transmits those data to the Head-end software for the proposed PTHMS.

          To be measured from oil pocket in top header

3.Bosch BME 280 sensor (BME2)

       Sensors are to be fitted inside the breather pipe coming down from main conservator.

       Current to be measured from inside drive mechanism box of OLTC (for the purpose of understanding whether there is any jamming during  operation of the motor.

         Sensors are to be fitted inside the breather pipe coming down from OLTC conservator.

6.Bosch BME 280 sensor( BME1)

         Sensor are to measure ambient condition.

Features

 

The IIoT Gateway is equipped  with  one SBC (Single board computer ) and one data processing/capture unit .  The gateway will have the following  minimum features:

 

·32 bit architecture based embedded system with Watchdog and RTC facility

·Default frequency of data sending from the IIoT Gateway is 15 minute.

 

·Watchdog for longer outage of communication between IIoT Gateway and the Head-end System

 

·Scalable options for integrating Sensors and measuring equipment to the edge devices (IIoT Gateway) through hardware  DI,DO,  AI, Serial port etc.

 

·Secure MQTT protocol will be used over 4G

 

·It will communicate with RTU through MODBUS over TCP/IP  and/or Modbus over RS485

 

·It will take Current & voltage  information from MFM through MODBUS over RS485

 

·Minimum 12 hrs battery back up will be provided
